VOIVOD – annunciano “Morgöth Tales”, uno speciale album celebrativo per i 40 anni di carriera
I canadesi VOIVOD festeggiano 40 anni di attività nel 2023 e per celebrarne l’occasione sono lieti di annunciare uno speciale album in studio intitolato “Morgöth Tales”, in uscita il 21 luglio tramite Century Media Records.
Ancora una volta registrato e mixato da Francis Perron presso RadicArt Studio, masterizzato da Maor Appelbaum e prodotto dagli stessi VOIVOD, “Morgöth Tales” è un album di brani riregistrati dalla formazione attuale, 9 brani accuratamente selezionati e un brano inedito, la title-track.
Il commento del batterista Michel “Away” Langevin:
“Morgöth Tales copre 40 anni di esplorazioni spaziali. È stato davvero emozionante per noi rivisitare una parte più oscura del catalogo Voïvod, dal thrash-punk al prog-metal a…? La title track è una nuova canzone, che abbiamo iniziato a scrivere nel tour bus e negli hotel durante il tour europeo con Opeth, nel novembre/dicembre 2022.
Ha l’atmosfera della musica sperimentale che stiamo facendo oggi, con un nuovo tocco credo. Abbiamo anche avuto la grande emozione di coinvolgere E-Force e Jasonic in questo album. Spero che vi piaccia, Chewy, Rocky, Snake ed io ci siamo divertiti a registrarlo. Tutti a bordo e pronti per il decollo!”
